Tax and corporate work means handling some of the most sensitive information a person or business has. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Tax Waley (“we”, “us”) is a tax, corporate and business advisory practice based in Lahore, Pakistan, operating the website taxwaley.org. For any question about this policy or about the data we hold on you, contact us at info@taxwaley.org or on +92 336 1860 111.
When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the service you selected, and your message. Nothing else on this website asks for personal data.
Once an engagement begins, we necessarily handle further information, which may include your CNIC, NTN, IRIS credentials where you authorise us to file on your behalf, bank statements, invoices, salary details, property and asset records, and company documents.
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. The contact form records the sending IP address to limit spam.
The tax calculator does not send anything anywhere. Every figure you type into it is processed inside your own browser. Nothing is transmitted to us, stored, or logged. You can use it without contacting us at all.
We do not use your details for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
We disclose your information only where it is necessary:
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within twelve months. Client records are retained for at least six years after the engagement ends, which is what tax and corporate record-keeping obligations in Pakistan require, and longer where a matter remains under audit, assessment, appeal or litigation.
This website is served over HTTPS. Client files are held on access-controlled systems, and access is limited to the professionals working on your matter. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the confidentiality of financial records seriously and treat it as a professional obligation as much as a legal one.
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, or to delete information we are not legally required to retain. Write to info@taxwaley.org and we will respond within 30 days. Where a statutory retention period applies, we will explain why we cannot delete a particular record.
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party advertising or analytics scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font file; no personal data is sent with it.
The regulatory updates section links to documents on government websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting existing clients will also be communicated directly.
This policy describes our actual practice in plain language. It is not a substitute for advice on your own data-protection obligations. If Pakistan's data-protection legislation changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update it.
